Many men today sadly have never experienced the “Warmth” of a father’s embrace, to many of us the touch of another man is foreign. We forget that one of our first human experiences for a newborn baby is to be held in the arms of its nurses, doctor, mother, and father if present. As a child develops, we receive all types of touching, many of which represent a warm embrace. This embracing represents positive affirmations for a child: joy, security, and confidence. We need to be touched and embraced and held properly so that we can live healthy and productive lives. A Fathers embrace offers assurance, comfort, and confidence when issued. Unfortunately, in today’s world we don’t have enough fathers present or willing to hold their children that close anymore.
