If a “Man” ever wants to experience change in his life, then he must be willing to accept Responsibility. One of the definitions for the word responsibility is accepting the consequences for what we say and do. It also means developing our potential. Men who want to be responsible understand that you don’t shift blame for the choices you make, nor do we make excuses for our actions when things don’t go our way. We have so many men today who lack discipline and structure in their lives, and who feel that its everyone else’s responsibility to make life better for them. Men need responsibility it is the process in which we mature and develop, the way in which we employ wisdom and learn invaluable lessons that help guide us through life. When we are not given responsibility or when we choose to not accept it when presented to us, a man’s growth is stunted. At what level of maturity are you when you look in the mirror? (let’s rework this so that you are asking them if they see these things within themselves).
Some men when faced with challenges or opposition in life their tend to whine and point the finger in the other direction when things don’t go their way. They fail to embrace the challenge before them and learn from it, therefore the experience is often repeated. The Bible in James 1:2-4 (NIV) says “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything”. Men are lacking in strength because they are not willing to take on the much-needed responsibility given to them by God. We were created and empowered by God right from the start to be responsible, go read about it in the book of Genesis. Therefore, my brothers no longer be afraid to embrace this essential part of who you are. Meet your challenges head on, take on the task assigned to you and believe that you are equipped to solve and overcome anything to fulfill your destiny.
